WBNA South Boston 2012 Grow Boston Greener Project Complete

Thank you to all who participated in our Spring 2012 Grow Boston Greener Grant project on Foundry Street. We have added 13 hearty evergreens that will grow to 10-12' as the next layer to this garden buffer. The MBTA announced at our May Membership meeting that the fence will be moved behind the trees in June to help facilitate us caring for them. The new fence we can immediately start to vine to continue to screen the train yard and further beef up a garden buffer. Thank you to BNAN for funding this project and to Weston Nurseries for preferred pricing to maximize our project. Thank you also to Mayor Menino's Boston Shines for the mulch.
