Thank you to all of you who took the time to weigh in on the Slainte licensing request. Casey Hines from the Mayors office, Tim Brown from City Councillor Bill Linehan's office, and Alexandra Zaltman from City Councillor John Connolly's office all were present and testified on our behalf against a seven day entertainment license. Andrew Pappas and Thomas Calus trustees of the Court Sq. Press/ Macallen Building Condominium also were present and weighed in against their request in addition to Doug Vannah trustee for 36 A St. condominiums, and myself on behalf of the WBNA. The licensing Commissioner chose to hold action on this request pending violation hearings scheduled later this month. Further she requested Casey Flynn of the Mayors Office set up a community meeting between local residents, Robert Maher of Slainte, and local elected officials. I will keep you posted of the schedule of such meeting as soon as it has been scheduled. Our continued involvement in these proceedings is critical to creating the healthy environment we seek to create in our neighborhood and your involvement is greatly appreciated.
